Agroscope

Agroscope is Switzerland's competence centre for agricultural research, founded in 2014, which is affiliated to the Federal Office for Agriculture and subordinate to the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research. Since 1 January 2017, Agroscope has consisted of three competence areas for research technology and knowledge exchange as well as seven strategic research areas and the Resources unit. The competence divisions are primarily responsible for links to practice (farmers, companies, advisory services), while the research divisions are responsible for links to research (universities, research institutes, scientific community). The locations are Avenches (Swiss National Stud Farm SNG), Breitenhof (stone fruit centre), Cadenazzo, Changins, Conthey, Güttingen (experimental fruit farm), Liebefeld, Posieux, Pully, Reckenholz, Tänikon and Wädenswil.
