Region Aachen Zweckverband

The Region Aachen is the regional development organisation of the districts of Düren, Euskirchen, Heinsberg, the city of Aachen and the Aachen city region. Region Aachen organises cooperation between the partners and has the task of shaping joint regional and euregional structural development for the economy and skilled workers, education, culture, health and infrastructure. With around 82,000 employees, the healthcare and life sciences industry is the leading market in the Aachen region with the highest number of employees. In cooperation with science and industry, the Region Aachen has the task of supporting the transfer of innovative products and services into medical and nursing care, digitalisation and securing skilled workers for the healthcare industry lead market. The aim of the health region as part of the special-purpose association in particular is to cooperate with science and industry to bring innovative products and services to the Aachen health region for use in medical and nursing care, to support digitalisation and to secure skilled workers for the lead market of the healthcare industry.
