Slow Medicine Research Institute

Slowmed pursues a concept of preventative and therapeutic treatment. The focus is on back and joint pain, tension, exhaustion and specific chronic illnesses. Customised treatment strategies are developed and implemented to reduce pain in musculoskeletal complaints, for example. The company has also been treating top athletes from various disciplines, such as rowers, biathletes and Nordic combined athletes, since 1997. The skills acquired here have also been integrated into the treatment of older people. The company has already been successfully involved in various research projects. These include the development of a concept and the evaluation of the effects of measures for workplace health promotion in co-operation with the AOK health insurance company in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, among others.
